Assam HSLC Results 2020



SEBA: Results of High School Leaving Certificate(HSLC) examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) will be delayed for at least a  month due to the nationwide lockdown across the country.

As reported by The Assam Tribune, the results may delayed  this year because of the lockdown.
In  2019 the HSLC results were declared on May 15 and depending on the current situation this year result may be delayed by a month.
It is to be mentioned that the HSLC(matriculation) exam started from 10th February till 29th February 2020. The practical exams were conducted on 21 and 22 January.
A total of 3,58,446 students appeared for the HSLC (matriculation) examination this year. Exams were conducted in 860 centres across the state.
On the other hand, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is likely to declare HS 2nd year results within June 25. According to information, AHSEC will announce the results of all streams—Arts, Science and Commerce from June 20 to 25.
AHSEC secretary Manoranjan Kakati told media persons that council has already completed evaluating the 90 percent answer scripts.
“We have received all the answer scripts from six zones of the state,” he said.
He revealed that 14 zones have completed evaluation of answer scripts while 28 zones have completed 95 percent of evaluation. Meanwhile, secretary Kakati had a video conference with college teachers and officials across the state.
According to reports, Kakati instructed all the zones to submit the evaluated answer scripts before May 7. Around 2 lakh 34 thousand candidates appeared in the HS final year exams this year.
Meanwhile, the academic arena has been mooting different plans to compensate the losses because of the lockdown. Gauhati University has already cancelled summer vacation for university classes and colleges under its jurisdiction. Other universities also are also likely to adopt similar plans to compensate the academic losses of the students.
